RIM, away slowly and far back early, closed a big gap. RUFF tired badly in the last quarter. UPTIDIS showed early sp-cd. HENRY DATTNER raced in close pursuit of the leaders throughout and finished resolutely. PRESS GAXti was saved for the first mile and finished gamely. THORNDALE was racing well when he made a bad landing at the thirteenth jump and dropped back fast. CIRCULET began fast and quickly raced into a clear lead, withstood challenges from ROSE SPOT and easily held GOELAND safe at the end. The latter moved up gamely after entering the home stretch, but swerved in behind the winner repeatedly. ROSE SPOT was hard ridden from the start and showed early speed, but tired at the end. MASTER P.ORIUE finished candy. ASSAIL raced forwardly and finished well. EAST MAN raced green. CRYSTAL VAPOR showed speed. LADY CREST and MASTER FELIX suffered from interference soon after the start. GLEE CLUB began slowly, hut worked his way up fast in the tan three -eighth* and outganied CARLOS MAID. The latter laced prominently and finished veil. ALTIMETER had no mishaps.
