WOODBINE PARK MEETING ~e Total of 27,555 Distributed During Seven Days Racing. ♦ Seagram Stable To; s 1. 1st of Winning Owners "Willi 7,430, Witt Young Kitly Accounting for 1,110 of That Amount. a "Woodbine Parks meeting, from May 19 to Way 26, seven racing days, was the means of distributing 27,555 among the winning own-800 a daily average of 8,222. Forty-nine races, among them eleven stake races, were decided during the meeting. The Toronto Cup Handicap and the Kings Plate were the most valuable amons the stake races. The Kings riate has the distinction of being the oldest continuously run race on the North American continent. While the Toronto Cup Handicap is actually the most valuable, its winner, Sunfire, takes second place to Young Kitty among the money-winning horses. Young Kitty winning the Kings Plate and one ether race for total earnings of 4,140. as against Sunfires one -victory and one third, for a total of 3,270. The Seagram Stables total of 7,430 was greatly in excess of that of any other owner whose horses raced at Woodbine Park and the stable took first place easily. R. T. Wilsons 4,705 was just .slightly more than half of the Seagram total, the New York owner taking second place. W. J. Donohue, trainer for the Seagram establishment, led the trainers when he saddled five winners. W. H. Bringloe and J. Nixon tied for second place, with four winners apiece. L. riehon easily led the jockeys, with eight Winning mounts to his credit. L. Sohaefer was second, with six winners. J. McCoy, T. Burns and W. Ik.rvcy were also successful.
