This mile event, carrying an added value of ,000, is the feature of seven races designed to reflect the class of the occasion. There may be fifteen crack performers in the handicap. Chicago and Flat Iron are weighted at 126 pounds and 124 pounds. It will be the first clash of this pair since last year when they competed in the chief stakes. Chicago, more than once, proved his mastery over Stuyvesant Peabodys racer. Both horses are in splendid form and Flat Iron is said to be displaying sparkling speed. Their preliminary races in Kentucky indicate the renewal of their duel will be marked by sensational performances. Sankari, brilliant handicap horse, which carried the Rancocas colors on the New York tracks, and is now owned by the R. C. Stable of California, which has in Crystal Pennant another star, is a likely starter in the Premier Handicap. Sankari, purchased by W. H. Hoffman for 0,000, will be making his Western debut in the Premier. Weighted at US pounds, he will be watched with interest. Mike Hall, in with 118 pounds, is a probable starter. He is a breaker of track records, first coming into prominence on the Latonia course. His victory this year in the Dixie Handicap demonstrates he is in form. Crystal Pennant, with an impost of 116 pounds, will, if he starts, be making his first bow since his memorable triumph in the rich Coffroth Handicap at Tijuana. Sir Harry and Rolls Royce, eligibles of the Seagram Stable, are fit and ready. Otto J. Lehmanns Reigh Olga is listed as a probable starter. He will be piloted by Chick Lang, who rode Reigh Count in his Kentucky Derby victory. Florence Mills is the only mare included in the Premier field. In winning the In Memoriam Handicap at Aurora she led home a band of the opposite sex, establishing a now track record for the mile and a sixteenth. She also holds Auroras record for a mil 3 and seventy yards. The field in the American National Premier Handicap presents the classiest combination as an opening feature seen on any western track in recent years. Chicago and Flat Iron probably will attract the bulk of speculation, but Sankari and the others will not be lacking for support. The Seagram Stable will start Solace in the Fairmount Derby. Sunday will afford an interval of rest for his engagement in the Premier. Following is the probable field, weights and riders : Horse. VTt. Jockey. Chicago 12t L. McDermott Flat Iron 124 W.
