| AURORA TURF NOTES AURORA, 111., May 31. M. N. Macfarlane was a visitor at Exposition Park in the interests of the first summer meeting of the Manitoba Jockey Club to be held at the old Windsor Jockey Club track Saturday, June 16, to Saturday, June 23, at Windsor, Ont. Mr. Macfarlane. who will act as racing secretary, distributed condition books among the horsemen, the books covering the seven days of racing. Eight entries and three substitute entries were received for the lady riders race, fourth on the card Friday. The lady riders engaged have been at this course each morning since the announcement of the racing, being schooled, along with the horses, at the barrier, and practicing for the race. The Sammy Mandell Handicap, feature of Friday, is named for the lightweight champion boxer of the world, who will be present. E. B. Elkins good mare Mary O., holder of the one mile track record at Lincoln Fields, is expected to make her first appearance of the meeting in the main attraction Friday.
