Cifichiello, who left the employ of the Rancocas Stable without permission. Horsemen are warned that declarations for the Saratoga Hopeful Stakes are due on June 1. Jockey H. Elston has been released by the Sagamore Stable at his own request and will leave for the West. Elston was well thought of by trainer Tompkins, but the lad became discouraged when he could not secure any mounts in the East. The number of starters in the third race today was exceeded three years ago when Mother Goose was the winner of the Futurity. Twenty-nine two-year-olds faced the starter in that event, one more than that of today. A
