ATWOOD was saved to the stretch and while racing on the outside, came fast into the lead and won drawing clear. DAVENPORT set the early pace, then raced close up throughout and finished gamely. McTAB, closer i:p than usual, made a challenge after rounding the far turn, but was outfinished. ROYAL PEARL was cut off repeatedly and lost ground when entering the home stretch. EIKOS tired. The latter raced extremely wide, closed a big gap and was easily best of the others. ROSABELLA, under restraint, raced into the lead on the far turn, but was unable to keep pace when challenged. MERCEDES E. gained in the last half mile, but could never catch the first three. BNUFI Y tired badly after going three-quarters. RAKOCE quit.
