NIMBA AN UNLUCKY FILLY NEW YORK, N. Y., June 7.— Ximba came out of the running of the Suburban Handicap with an injured off fore ankle and she will be rested for some time. This decision would have been reached even had she not come out of the race lame for the reason that she has become so nervous that George Odom decided that he would have to rest her for a time. This filly Odom rates as one of the best, if not the best, he ever trained, but she has been unusually unfortunate. She has been the victim of many injuries and, with her bad knees and ankles, the wonder is that she has performed so brilliantly. The day before the running of the Alabama Stakes last year Nimba was eo lame that Odom did rot think he would get her to the post. Before the rjunnng of the American Coachng Club Oaks Nimba was also decdedly lame and, in fact, in most of her races it has been her courage and her high quality that has made her triumph over bodily disability.
