I C0NNAUGHT PARK NOTES | $ • I OTTAWA, Ont.. June 7. John J. Farrell, custodian of the jockeys room at all tracks under the supervision of the Canadian Racing Associations, reports that there are now over forty riders registered with him to ply their trade at Con-naught Park. Jockey A. Robertson, who contemplated riding during the present meeting, wired that he was unable to get away from New York, as he has several more engagements to fulfill at Belmont Park. He will likely be on hand for the meeting at Blue Bonnets. The stewards -of the Canadian Racing Associations notified the press that on the closing day of the meeting at Thorncliffe Park jockey Harold Thomas was fined 5 for crossing over on the field at the first turn in the last race while astride Nettie Sweep. Following the antics displayed by D. Raymonds Great Rock in his race Wedn?sday the stewards notified the racing secretary to refuse the entry of the horse for the remainder of the meeting. The recent report that the Seagram Stable held an option on the good colt Kai Shok was completed and the colt is now housed with the others members that are being campaigned by Jack White. Jockey P. Dougherty was the first rider at the local course to meet with punishment from the st -wards. Dougherty was fined 5 in addition to receiving a three-day suspension for cutting across from the extreme outside position while riding Cut Bush to the first turn in the sixth race yesterday.
