FAIRMOUNT PARK NOTES ! • • COLLINSVILLE, 111., June 7. Trainer C. E. Durnell wired the racing secretary at Fairmount Park requesting reservation of five stalls, stating that he was shipping five racers from Arlington Park today, the shipment to reach here early Friday morning. Durnell is sending the Three Ds Stock Farm Stables two-year-old High Time — Dora W. colt, Double Heart, to fulfill his engagement in the Valley Stakes Saturday. Trainer Charlie Houbre of the Old Hickory Stable got in from Arlington Park, from where he vanned over the horses Coal Black and The Orleanian. Coal Black is one of the eligibles to the Valley Stakes, to be decided Saturday, while The Orleanian came along as a companion. After Coal Blacks engagement in the $.":,000 added Valley Stakes on Saturday, Houbre will return the gelding and The Orleanian to Arlington Park Sunday. Houbre reported that jockey Karl Horkath had been engaged to ride Coal Black here Saturday. Racing secretary J. B. Campbell was in receipt of a wire today from J. F. Schorr, first trainer for the E. B. McLean stable, requesting him to enter that stables two-year-old Silverdale for the Valley Stakes. Silverdale is a chestnut colt, a son of The Porter — Margaret Ogden, and should prove a formidable contender in the race. J. F. Schorr also made a request for two stalls and it is likely that another of the McLean horses will be shipped here with Silverdale. Jockey P. Francis had his first mount today in the opening race since the lads fall astride Sleepy Head Tuesday.
