MRS. J. D. HERTZ TWO STARS Anita Peabody Will Start in Arlington Park Feature June 23 — Reigh Count Improved. ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, 111., June 11.— "Anita Peabody, as sound as a bell of brass, will fill her engagement in the American National Rush Handicap Saturday, June 23, at Arlington Park. "Reigh Count is in better condition than when he won the Kentucky Derby and will meet all comers at Saratoga in August." It is John Hertz speaking officially of the stars owned by Mrs. John D. Hertz. The brown three-year-old daughter of Luke Mc-Luke — La Dauphine has apparently fully recovered. The statement comes from the Hertz stable that this sensational filly is ready right now to proceed to greater achievement. She was not trained for the Kentucky Oaks for the reason that rainy periods and track conditions were unsuited. Reigh Count was kicked by his stable companion, Anita Peabody, in a Derby trial performance on the Churchill Downs course, causing a painful injury, and when Cartago kicked one of his plates against one of Reigh Counts legs a moment before the Derby field was sent on its way, the wonder is that the horse was able to triumph.
