Geving in good standing. He was granted a license by the Arlington Park stewards. The volume of mutuel wagering at Arlington Park Derby Day totalled ,065,000. There were 29,492 programs sold, exhausting the supply. Starting with todays program, post time for the first race will be 2 :15 p. m., Chicago daylight saving time. Japhorn has been added to starter Leslie Deans schooling list, making a total of five, none of which have been excused. . Jockey L. Hardy has given third call on his services to M. Lowenstein. Six horses in the Belle Isle Stable, property of Summerfield and Prest, trained by Mose Lowenstein, will be sold by public auction in Arlington Park paddock tomorrow. D. Wormeldorf has succeeded C. E. Gross as trainer of the Dearborn Stable horses. Horsemen are reminded that entries to the American National Futurity, the 5,000 added money stakes for two-year-olds that is to be run at the Arlington Park fall meeting, are due to close next Friday, Juno 15. The stake originally closed for entries March 10. when it received 358 nominations. It was reopened for further nominations June 1. and already many additional entries have been made. Dinner Dance, winner of last Saturdays Quickstep Handicap at Latonia, is expected to arrive at Arlington Park to fill his engagement in the American National Rush Handicap, to be run here Saturday, June 23. C. Houbre has returned from Fairmount Park with Big Bill Thompson and Coal Black, the latter having been shipped there for the Valley Stakes. He purchased Big Bill Thompson from J. C. Milam while at the Collinsville track. Program books for Arlington Park racing from June 13 to June 21. were received from the printers today and distributed to horsemen. A. E. Blanchard is distributing program books for the first weeks racing at Lincoln Fields, which opens July 2. Clyde Van Dusen, winner of the Valley Stakes, ha* joined the division of the H. P. Gardner stable handled here by R. Steele • and will be prepared for Saturdays renewal of the American National Juvenile Stakes. Jockeys J. Leyland. W. Fronk and J. R. Kelly returned from Fairmount Park, where they had mounts in the Valley Stakes Saturday. The condition of jockey L. Pichon, ill with a stomach ailment in an Oak Tark hospital, is much improved and he is expected to be discharged Thursday and may resume riding next week. Jockey C. Lang was suspended for three days by starter Lester Dean for disobedience at the post while astride Semper Felix in the second race. Jockey H. Richards, who has been with the Kentucky division of H. P. Headleys stable, reported to trainer Walter Taylor j and accepted his first mount here on I Country Boy, „
