LADIES DAY AT OMAHA Tanist Triumphs in Best Race of Day — Syufy and Graham Score Double Victory. OMAHA, Neb., June 11. — A seven-race claiming card was provided for the entertainment of the ladies who attended todays races as guests of the management and while the fields were large, stirring contests ensued. The best field on the program went post-ward in the fifth and Tanist was the winner. He was given a good ride by Inzelone and led most of the way. Smacker finished second and Mary B. was third. The stable of Syufy and Graham scored a double when Vapor won the first race and Piute took the fourth. Vapor came from behind to catch Maudie B. M., a long shot, while Piute just lasted to down Dunbeath. Sir John McDonald, at liberal odds, earned a nose decision over Jim Bethel in the sixth race, while Burk-Dale, the favortie, defeated a band of maidens in the third race. *
