LATONIA TURF NOTES "1 _ $ * LATONIA, Ky.. June 12. Charles Lansdale, former racing official, was a visitor and reported himself much improved after an illness. It developed today that the bridle on Resolute snapped early in her race yesterday, which probably accounted for her rapid retirement out of a contending position in .that engagement. John A. Sikes, a youngster in the employ of Lon Jones, is scheduled to make his debut as a rider during the meeting. He is sixteen years old and a native of Buchel, Ky. Ruby White, one of starter Hamiltons assistants, who was injured while in the performance of his duties at Churchill Downs, was at the track this afternoon and expects to resume his post within a short time . Friends of jockey Johnny Pevic were grieved by the news of the death of Mrs. revic, wife of that popular rider, at the Tevic home in Huntington, W. Va. Pevic was called home last Saturday when the condition of the deceased became very serious. Mose Goldblatt Is considering sending Marconi to Fairmount Park to participate in the renewal of the Statler Hotel Handicap, which will feature Saturdays program there. Despard, which was purchased by I. J. Collins at the Cropearsan disposal sale yesterday, in company with Chittagong, will be shipped to Riverside Park at Kansas City. The horses of W. H. Whitehou.se will be campaigned at Lincoln Fields following the close of the I-atonia meeting. Jockey R. Mclllvain, who was Injured in a fall at Lexington, resumed riding today. The filly Hazel McNamara suffered a number of lacerations in her fall in the last race yesterday. Jockey F. Rozier, who had the mount on the filly, was back In the saddle today. . * —
