BELMONT PARK STATISTICS * . Total of 99,205 Distributed to Winning Owners During Meeting. • Vito. Belmont Slakes "Winner, Heads the List of Money-Winning Horses, AVhile A. H. Cosden Lends Owners. ~# The Westchester Racing Associations spring meeting came to a conclusion Saturday, June 9, with the Belmont Stakes as the outstanding stake race decided. The meeting began May 17 and embraced twenty-one racing days, during which time 99,205 was distributed in stakes and purses. The daily distribution amounted to slightly more than 9,009. During this time there were twenty-two stake races decided, of which the Belmont Stakes was the most valuable to the owner of the winning horse. Next in importance to the Belmont Stakes In regards to value to the winner was the National Stallion Stakes, which was also run last Saturday, and added $"5,470 to the earnings of Blue Larkspur. By reason of his victory in the coveted Belmont Stakes, Vito leads the list of money-winning horses, with ?03,630 as his share of the spoils. This sum also represents second money in an overnight race. Blue Larkspur, which carried off the two principal two-year-old races, the Juvenile Stakes and the National Stallion Stakes, enriched his earnings to the amount of 4,220 and is second on the list. A. H. Cosden, owner of Vito, was the most successful winning owner, his total winnings being the same as Vito, the only horse to earry his colors to a win during the meeting. The Idle Hour Stock Farm Stable, through the victories of Blue Larkspur, is aeeond on the list with 5,270. Others who fared well were the Rancocas Stable, with 9,690; H. P. Whitney, with 9,375, and J. B. Widoner, president of the Westchester Racing Association, whose horses earned 6,650. The veteran Sam Hildreth saddled the most winners during the meeting, his charges accounting for fourteen races. William Garth and P. Green were tied for second place with seven winners each to their credit. J. P. Smith was but one behind the latter two with six winners. L. Fator, contract rider for che Rancocas Stable, was the most successful of the jockeys when he piloted eighteen of his mounts to victory. Next in order comes A. Pascuma with ten and K. Workman with eight. J. Fitzgerald, with four winning mounts led the steeplechase jockeys. I. Burgess, D. Byers, G. Duller, the English rider, and J.
