The latter began well, but was taken far back in the first half mile, then closed a big gap in the stretch and finished fast. DEMON set the early pace, then lost the lead in the stretch, but held on well and outstayed KATRINA L. The latter forced the pace to the last eighth and took the lead, but tired in the final sixteenth. ROY GIBSON and CHARMING LADY tired. Scratched— 25587-Petit Tan, 100; 25382 La Paloma, 105.
