DEATH TAKES W. A. GORMAN NEW YORK. N. Y., June 27.— There was general regret among horsemen on news of the death of W. A. Gorman, who died at his home, 317 Rogers Avenue, Brooklyn, N. Y., after a long illness. Mr. Gorman was track superintendent of old Morris Par , and with the abandonment of that course for Belmont Park, on Long Island, he continued in the same capacity at that big racing ground in its early days. Later Mr. Gorman, who knew considerable of landscape gardening, served some years with Prospect Park in Brooklyn. A man of ability and of courteous, gentle character, he has been admired by all the horsemen of his day and they mourn his passing. Funeral services were conducted from St. Patricks Cathedral in Brooklyn at 11 oclock today. * .
