— . HAMILTON TURF NOTES $ HAMILTON, Ont., June 27. The first claim of the present meeting at Hamilton was registered when J. E. Small-man deposited an envelope containing ,750 for C. Ferraros Successor, winner of the final race Tuesday. Successor was formerly in the stable of Mr. Smallman and was secured by Charles Ferraro during the meeting at Havana. Jockey N. Foden departed for Montreal, where he will rest up until the opening of the meeting at Delorimier Park. Marshall Cassidy reported that for the next meeting at Connaught Park the stall starting gates, which have been used with success at various meetings in Canada, will be installed in the three-quarters chute at that track. The string of racers that are being campaigned in Canada by James Healey, Sr., was augmented on Wednesday when in the car that arrived from Aqueduct there were included three two-year-olds and the good three-year-old Club Stake. Jockey J. C. Mergler, one of the family of riders of the same name, arrived with the shipment and he will do the riding. All the racers arrived in good shape.
