ENII.E. away fast, was hard ridden while showing the most speed and. taking the lead, drew away after going a half mile and won easing up. ENTniSIASTIC EDWARD began slowly, but closed a big gap and finished gamely. QUEEN CLARA raced in fairly close quarters to the stretch, where she came wide, but finished fast. EVERLASTING raced wide on the turns but forwardly from the start and tired. MARY HUME had no mishaps. MANUELITA quit after going a half mile. OWEN A tired badly. Scratched— 23235 Violet Betty. 106. PRINCE BULBO. close up from the start, raced into the lead when called on in the last quarter and held BANTER safe. The latter worked his way up gradually on the outside and finished well, but could not get to the winner. PROCNE showed speed and saved ground where possible, but was tiring and barely lasted to save third place. THE SOUTHERNER had no mishaps. BELLE OF AMERICA, away fast, took the lead at once, set a fast pace while under restraint and won hard held. AGINCOURT, always in closest pursuit, held to her task tamely, but was easily outfinished. ERIE moved up fast on the last turn and finished fairly well. GLADYS McCLAIN ran out badly on all the turns. SUPER ROCK, away poorly, saved ground on the turns. ANNA BEALL ran a bad race. FLORANADA raced well back under restraint to the stretch, where, after coming to the extreme outside, she came with a rush and outfinished GERTRUDE SOISSONS. The latter, always close up. • came between the leaders after reaching the stretch and took a good lead, but could not withstand trie winner. SISTER SOI closed a gap and saed much ground on the last turn. WHISK ARROW was forced to lose ground on the turns, but finished gamely. MARGATE was hard ridden throughout. FIRTH OF TAY raced far out of it for the first three-quarters, dos«d up an immense gap and finished strongly. SOUTHERN KISS and SWEEP-NET tired badly. CHICK UP refused to leave with the others at the start.
