♦ * FAIRMOUNT PARK NOTES ! $ • j COLLINSVILLE, 111., June 27. Jockey R. Mozer came in from Riverside Park, Kansas City, and commenced riding here today. He had his first mount on Tale-qua in the seventh race. Mozer will be connected with the A. P. Foley stable. A. P. Foley has purchased the plater Talequa from K. Pitt in a private transaction. Jockey R. Crees also returned from Riverside Park and will ride free lance at Fair-mount Park. Chick Up, Hourmore and Leyland were added to the schooling list on Tuesday by starter William Snyder. Jockey H Mertz was out to the course today for the first time since the accident in which he sustained a broken arm when he was in a spill with the two-year-old Panzora after the finish of a race last Thursday. Jockey Mertz will be absent from the saddle for the next two months and intends resting up at his home in Indianapolis, Ind. E. J. OConnell, Ed McCuan and W. M. Cain intend shipping their large stables of thoroughbreds to Ashland, Ky., to participate in the racing at the Raceland meeting. E. McCuan will take along jockey M. Knight, his contract rider, while jockey J. Parmaleo will go along to do the riding for the W. M. Cain stable. Jockey W. Boganowski is back in action again to the extent of galloping horses in the mornings at Fairmount Park, he being well on the road to recovery from injuries received in a recent fall suffered in a race here. E. E. Major, Sr., represented by Volsel in the second race Friday, claimed Charming Lady from J. C. Milam, for ,500.
