DELORIMIER PARKS OPENING MONTREAL, Que., June 27.— Delorimier Park, Montreals most popular half-mile course, will open its inaugural meeting for the year Thursday afternoon and the entries, which closed at noon today, offered a striking fact of the number of horses available for racing at the seven-day meeting. Racing secretary C. F. Henry handled 129 entries for the seven races, with the result that all the races for the opening day are well filled. The racing is featured by distance races, chief of which is the Herald Purse, at a mile and an eighth, a claiming race which attracted a well-matched band of eight. Practically all the starters are from the larger courses Top weight of 114 pounds goes to .Tubal Early. The track was on the slow side this morning, after intermittent rains, but was drying out. — . — a .
