CHRISTIE FLANAGAN had a big advantage at the start and, showing the most speed, raced into ■ long lead at once and, holding it well, outfinished JACK HASKELL. The latter began slowly and moved up fast just before reaching the first turn, then raced gamely through the stretch and finished close up. JOE MARSHALL raced prominently throughout. The latter had no mishaps, was away well and. setting a good pace where possible, saved ground and finished resolutely. FORCK saved giound when reaching the stretch turn anil outstayed HUON PINE.
