Van Dusen; bred by Mr. H. P. Gardner. WENT TO POST— 4:58. AT POST— 18 minutes. Start good and slow. Won easily; second and third driving. CLYDE VAN DCSEN took the lead after the first quarter, saved ground while setting the pace and responded to a light shaking up to the stretch to bold his opponents safe. NAISHAPUR, slow to start and racing wide, began moving up after going five-eighths and, after being blocked in the stretch, where he swerved, finis-hed with a rush when clear. PANCHIO was prominent for the entire race and, benefitted by a strong ride, outfinished BLUE LAEKSPUK. The latter ran well to the stretch turn, where he dropped back, but came again gamely after going to the inside in the stretch and just failed to get up for third place. WINDY CITY raced well and held on gamely. VOLTEAR tired in the final drive. BEN MACHREE finished with a rush. KARL EITEL tired. MINOTAUR was always far back. ESSARB showed early speed. POLKING was done after reaching the stretch. Scratched— 36140 Ervast, 126; 36175Boris, 126; 36140 The Choctaw, 126; 36226 St. Ignatius, 128; 36136 Hiram Kelly, 126.
