NEWS OF THE RIDERS NEW YORK. N. Y.. May 18.— Jockeys V. Peterson and F. Stevens were suspended for three days for reckless riding in the fifth race Friday by the stewards. R. "Sonny" Woikman received a severe cut on his leg when kicked on the way to the post in the fifth race at Belmont Park Saturday. He was astride Lisa and the injury was caused by Atlantis. Ellis replaced Workman, who will be out of the saddle for several days at least.
