LADDIE BUCK raced close up on the inside while in close quarters and was lucky in getting through to the leaders near the end, but got up to outfinish SILENT LILLIAN. The latter raced forwardly on "the outside of DEXTROSE while forcing the pace, raced the latter into defeat and took a brief lead, but was outfinished. PRICELESS began poorly and had to race on the extreme outside, but closed up much ground in the last quarter. DEXTROSE set the early pace, but tired in the final drive. DOMESTICATED raeed well. FIELD MARSHAL began poorly. SUPPORTER quit badly after showing early speed. Scratched— 36133MiIes Prior. 115; 3G191 Theo. RUNAWAY PRINCESS followed MISS ROSEDALE closely for the first three-eighths and, racing the latter into defeat, took the lead and, drawing away in the stretch, won as her rider pleased. MARABOU dropped back after the start and was outpaced to the stretch, then closed a gap rapidly and outfinished KNDOK. The latter began slowly, but improved his position rapidly and finished gamely. OLD BILL ran a good race. MISS ROSEDALE showed the most early speed, but tired badly. SALONA quit after making a rush in the stretch. SHORT PRICE was done after going well for the first half mile. BOOTSIE BOO raced wide throughout, but improved her position gradually and made a game finish. THISTLE JEAN closed a big gap in the stretch and finished fast. COMMISSIONER DEE was always outpaced. GOLD MINT raced in close quarters on the inside, suffered from some interference, but made a game finish. SAN CARLOS raced well. JUNIORS NURSE had no mishaps. RE-VEILLON tired after racing well for the first half mile. FRED DUBNER showed early speed and quit badly. Scratched— 30169 Shampoo. 101.
