Won easily: second and third driving. DU. PARRISH. quick to begin, moved into a clear lead at once and. making ■ fast pace, drew into decisive command after reaching the turn and won under restraint. SCOTT, hard ridden after the opening quarter, continued gamely for the entire way and was best of the others. YUCATAN raced prominently from the start, but tired in the final eighth. SHARON had no mishaps. FLASHING GEM could not get into a contending position. PEGGY MAC was outrun after being taken back to avoid striking nUII LYONS in the first eighth. The latter stumbled and fell when in close quarters in the first eighth. PERFECT ALIBI, close up from the start and saving ground throughout, responded to severe punishment when getting through on the inside of DOXORA iu the final three-sixteenths and, getting up for the 1-ad, held it gamely. DOXORA made a fast pace from the start and contiuued gamely while racing wile throughout the last quarter. HEKET1Z began slowly and raced wide, but tired in the final eighth. MABEL BASIL tired. ROYAL JULIAN, lucky to save ground while racing close up under restraint to the final sixteenth, responded gamely when ready in the stretch and, gradually improving his position, headed SILVERDALE in the final drive. The latter set a fast pace, saved ground and only tired right at the end. THE OBOCTAW had speed from the start, but bore out on both turns and tired in the final drive. BEN MACHREE Qaiakai fast. SYDNEY, never far back, saved ground on the stretch turn and, closing gamely, outfinished UNCLE MATT, but cou!d not overtake the winner. UNCLE MATT raced prominently for the entire way and held on stubbornly while losing ground in the final three-sixteenths.
