$ $ Supreme Court Order Stops Mutuel Betting at Omaha Race Course •$ 4 OMAHA, Neb., June 10. — There was no racing • at Ak-Sar-Ben Field this afternoon, nor will there be any tomorrow. A Supreme Court I order, which was secured by attorney general 1 Sorenson in Lincoln this morning to prevent the use of the pari-mutuel machines, was to have been served this afternoon and the Ak-Sar-Ben board of governors, rather than have ; the betting stopped, decided to postpone the races until Wednesday. During the interval I the heads of the racing plant will seek ways and means of clearing the situation that the meeting may continue. The Supreme Court order secured by the ; attorney general came like a bolt out of the i blue. The officers of Ak-Sar-Ben had obtained 1 a restraining order last week preventing the i attorney general from stopping the races, but t todays order vacated the one secured by the b Jockey Club. Upward of 1,000 people, not knowing that t there would be no racing this afternoon, made e the trip to the track and they continued to 3 come until late afternoon. Several horsemen i are preparing to ship to Winnipeg, while e others will remain at Ak-Sar-Ben Field to await the outcome of the present controversy. .
