w — f LATONIA TURF NOTES T s . 4 LATONIA, Ky., June 10. B. B. Williams Sunday night shipped F. P. Kriss Blushing Maiden and Stone and Puckers Lucile back to Washington Park. The two fillies finished second in their races here Saturday. Jockey Chiavetta also returned to the Homewood track. The horses Jeff ONeil and Miss Scotty, which have been in training at Churchill Downs, arrived here Sunday. The former has been acquired from Bob Meyer by Walter I. Kohn and the latter was purchased by C: A. Bidencope from Lon Jones. Jeff ONeil is a three-year-old and Miss Scotty, a two-year-old daughter of Midway — Scotty, which has not been under colors. Bidencope will train the pair. Breakaway, the two-year-old daughter of Whiskaway — Lucky Wave, a half sister to Ginger, has been sold by Grover Hughes to B. Mclntyre. The latter has the youngster at Fairmount Park, where she won her last start. Jockey Willie Pool has fully recovered from injuries he received in a fall from the two-year-old Big Stuff at Churchill Downs and will resume riding in a day or two. L. Geving, who underwent an operation at Lexington some weeks back and for a time was in a serious condition, was back in action today. R. S. Clark of New York and owner of one of the largest stables here, is making a visit to Lexington, where he is directing a number of improvements to be made to the farm property he purchased a week ago. O. A. Bianchi, after an illness of several weeks, is reported much improved and hopes to resume the training of his large stable within a short time. Kay Spence announced Friday that the division of the Audley Farm Stable in his charge will be reduced by the sale of about a dozen horses, chiefly younger material. He is hopeful of disposing of the horses to be weeded out by private sales. Blushing Maiden accompanied the crack Lucile here from Washington Park. Blushing Maiden is owned by Fred Kriss and, with Lucile, was returned to the Homewood course Sunday. Jockey C. E. Allen expects to remain here until time to go to Washington Park to fill his engagement to ride the Wilshire Stables Naishapur in the American Derby. While here, he will do most of tne riding for D. E. Stewarts division of the stable of J. N. Camden. H. P. Headleys Tishybo came out of her winning race Friday with several cuts about her hind legs. The lacerations are not serious. Under the rules, jockey Danny Connelly, who drew a suspension of ten days for his repeated fouling of horses with his mount. Princess Carolyn, which won the sixth race Friday, was permitted to fill his engagements Saturday, but her term of inactivity got under way today. In addition to the suspension, Connelly was fined 00 for improper conduct while being questioned after the race. Frank Chiavetta, accompanied by Mrs. Chiavetta, arrived Saturday morning from Chicago. Frank had the mounts on Lucile in the Clipsetta Stakes and on Blushing Maiden in the third race, both horses having been shipped here from Washington Park to fill their engagements. The racers we.-e scheduled to start the return trip to the Homewood track Sunday, B. B. Williams, their trainer, having made such preparations.
