Hale will not be allowed to start The horse Luke, Jr., whose entry has been refused on account of his bearing in, which caused his disqualification last week, will be? allowed to start, he having worked to the satisfaction of the officials. M. Shores acquired Master Maid from C. B. Marlman via the claiming route for 00. Roller was claimed by Mrs. J. Ferris out of the fifth race Wednesday for 00. Apprentice jockey A. Benoit was indefi-* nitely suspended by the stewards for repeated rough riding. G. Steward shipped his stable to Bainbridge Park. J. D. Blair has been appointed patrol judge, succeeding J. Hayman, who left for Vancouver. Starter McKnight has added the following horses to his schooling list : Glint o Gold, Clarice McClain, Frenchburg, Gransson, Judge Hickman, Assault, Betty Maloney and Streeter. Jockey W. Kempt, who was suspended some time ago for assaulting jockey OBrien, has had his license restored y the stewards. Apprentice jockey H. Riley, who was under contract to A. J. Williams, Jr., has left the latters employment and horsemen are warned not to harbor him.
