According to the condition book for the first ten days of the season the daily program will embrace no less than four races at one mile or over. While the minimum purse value during the meeting will be ,200, there will be only two of this value carded each day. The other five will range in value from ,300 to ,800, while the daily overnight handicaps will be as high as ,500. For the opening days card there will be offered two races of ,200 each; one of ,300, one at ,400; one at ,500, a handicap valued at ,200, and the American National Handicap, with added money value of ,500. This will make a total distribution of 6,300 for the first days racing. The custom of making the daily stake or handicap feature the fifth race of the afternoon will be changed, and these will be run as the fourth race of the day. * .
