OIL OFFICIALS AT LATONIA LATOXIA. Ky., June 21.— Officials of the Standard Oil Company and Latonia Refinery Corporation made up a large and distinguished party at Latonia Thursday afternoon. It included William E. Smith, president of the Standard Oil Company of Kentucky ; W. T. Holiday, president ; George A. Burk and A. M. Maxwell, vice-presidents, and Howard E. Jones, treasurer of the Standard Oil Company of Ohio, and J. S. Harris, president ; W. S. Brown, superintendent, and Monte Bell, assistant superintendent of the Latonia Refinery Corporation. Following luncheon at the club house the entire party remained for the racing. Mr. Smith, a member of the Kentucky State Racing Association, was accompanied from Louisville by Mrs. Smith and they left tonight for Chicago. They expect to return for the renewal of the Latonia Derby on Saturday. * .
