UKAN1TE ROCK, slow to get going and well back of the pacemakers for a half mile, came with a good rush during the final stages and, under a hard drive, got up in the last strides. ZARF rushed along from the start, shook off MISS DENTYNE, saved ground, but loafed during the stretch run and Towurow could not get her together in time to withstand the Winners challenge. JlG OF COLD, hard ridden all the way, failed to threaten the leaders. FLANDERS FIELD lost ground all the way. PEACE ROCK did not appear to fancy the going. Scratched — Loves Arrow, 111. MAC MAXIM, away well, was sent into a good lead, saved ground in the early running, stalled off early contention from RUNOLATHE and had enough in reserve to resist HELEN HANDSEL. The latter, prominent from the start, was taken to the outside of the winner and finished gamely. HUNO-I.ATHK moed up menacingly when rounding the turn, but tired fast during the final eighth. MEMOIUA, fore-ed to race on the outside all the way. tired when put to a drive. BESS MARTIN showed early speed. The last three had no chance at the start. SIDNEY W., quickest to begin, raced REGULAR BROOM into submission, was kept under urging and continued with good courage when forced to a drive to stall off CLIFTON S MAID. The latter secured racing room on the inside of the winner, but tired after getting ou almost equal terms. REGULAR BROOM ran well for a half mile. CHARLIE G. was never a factor. FIRE BRIGADE, hustled into a forward position, followed in nearest attendance of HARBORTON while under slight restraint, displaced the latter without effoit approaching the far turn, took a Ions lead, but had to tie shaken up sharply to stall of RED PATE. The latter, slow to begin, entered contention swiftly and closed gamely in the final struggle. COAT OMAIL, racing well placed, saved ground and was going gamely at the end. BUMBLE, badly messed about for the entire way. would have been much closer up with a more intelligent ride. EBUFORD reached a contending position and had no mishaps. HARBORTON quit. COTTAGE BOY raced GRAB BAG into defeat, went into a good lead, but tir-d fast ia the last eighth. FIRST EDITION was never able to threaten the leaders. TROLL was always outrun. BLOOMTIP assumed a long lead leaving the back stretch, saed ground, hut tired fast when challenged. ROSE FLAME raced well. DANCE CIRCLM was unable to keep p.i«* when put to a drive.
