MONK A wan bumped and carried out when passing the elbow, recovered quickly, stood a drive pamelj and outlasted CAMPI-IRE MAID at the end. The latter responded with good courage wncn called upon and. finishing fast on the outside, was wearing down the winner. STOKM elosed gamely on the inside and finished fast. The lalter, a factor all the way, finished fast with good courage and was wearing down the winner. LAltY CAPULKT saved ground throughout and came again to outlast BYRD. GREY HAWK was rushed into the lead in the first eighth, was rated along under steady restraint, raced SHIRTING GRIT into defeat, but bore over sharply in the final sixteenth and forced RlBY KELLER into close quarters. The latter was taken under restraint when outrun, improved her position on the inside and was going fast when blocked. LAURIE, well up throughout, finished with good courage on the outside. ■ SPOUTING GRIT showed early speed and had no excuses. EUPHRATES ran well at times. BLAKNEY quit badly. The latter moved up fast on the outside, assumed the lead in the final eighth, but tired when put under pressure. PENARC finished resolutely at the end. THE HIPPER ran a good race throughout.
