SALE OF FAIRMOUNT PARK Deal Closed and Control of Col- linsville Track Passes Into New Owners Hands. COLLINSVILLE, 111.. June 28— The control of the Fairmount Jockey Club, an Illinois corporation operating Fairmount Park, passed to an association headed by Robert S. Eddy, Jr., of New Orleans today. In the reorganization of the board of directors Mr. Eddy succeeds Matt J. Winn, while Dandurand. Joseph Cattarinich and Julius B. Reeder succeed J. B. Respess. M. G. Galvin and C. Bruce Head. Lyman T. Hay and T. D. Wat-kins continue as members of the board and as president and vice-president, respectively. Eddy will succeed Mr. Head as general manager, secretary and treasurer, effective July 10. The present meeting, which ends July 6, will continue under Mr. Heads management.- The deal concluded today involved a majority of the common stock of the corporation only. It was stated that an option on the property recently acquired in East St. Louis by the American Turf Association was given Mr. Eddy and his associates. This was entirely aside from the deal in which the control of the Fairmount Jockey Club passod from the Winn interests, since the Fairmount Jockey Club as a corporation was not interested in the property in East St. Louis. *
