Montour has secured permission from the Canadian Racing Association to sell, will be auctioned off in the Mount Royal paddock at 1 oclock Saturday. Jockey W. Barr injured a leg and will be una Me to ride for several days. W. G. Campbells Ace of Aces II. ran away while being worked this morning, and injured himself. He was excused by the ati wards from the sixth race. A handsome silver cup has been received from the v.t-11-known comedian, Joe Cook, for the race named in his honor, to be run here Saturday, and keen interest in the race is being displayed. Mrs. J. Zoeller sold the two-year-old Impertinent at private sale, to 15. F. Stafford. There are many first-rate riders doing saddle work here and representatives of a well-known Kentucky stable and a foremost New York establishment are on the ground looking to sign up the more promising riders. ยป
