He was excused by the ati wards from the sixth race. A handsome silver cup has been received from the v.t-11-known comedian, Joe Cook, for the race named in his honor, to be run here Saturday, and keen interest in the race is being displayed. Mrs. J. Zoeller sold the two-year-old Impertinent at private sale, to 15. F. Stafford. There are many first-rate riders doing saddle work here and representatives of a well-known Kentucky stable and a foremost New York establishment are on the ground looking to sign up the more promising riders. ยป
