* 1 # GEORGE SLOANE NEW OWNER OF CH1LH0WEE •I g LEXINGTON, Ky., June 28.— Those who guessed that Adolphe Pons was acting for George Sloane, master of Whitehall, War-renton, Va., when several weeks ago he purchased Chilhowee from Harry S. Hart, guessed correctly. Ercil Ellis, manager of the Sloane establishment, a former employee of Mrs. Ed Kane at the Nursery Stud now Greenwich Stud, is here from Virginia and will leave with the stallion for his new home tomorrow morning. In the car with Chilhowee will go five mares that have been at Greenwich Stud through the breeding season, four of them having foals, as follows : Novitiate and bay colt, by Bubbling Over ; bred to Ladkin Damage and chestnut filly, by Epinard ; bred to Black Servant, Distortion, chestnut filly, by Sir Martin or Our General ; bred to Chilhowee. Blue Plate and bay filly by Captain Alcock, bred to Chilhowee, Tourvilla, bred to Ladkin.
