Peabody Memorial Handicap with its 0,000 added featuring the closing days racing at Washington Park has a meager entry list considering the rich prize. However, it brings to the post some of the topnotchers in the handicap division with a liking for long distance racing. At the weight assignment the eight that are scheduled to make the contest are well matched and they should furnish a struggle fitting for the occasion, as no doubt one of the largest crowds of the meeting will view the race and attending incidents pertaining to the close of one of the most successful racing meetings in this part of the country.
