WILL TRAIN TWENTY-FOUR Haughton s Western Division of Greentree Stable Completed Thirteen Two-Year-Olds. LEXINGTON, Ky., April 1. The western division of Mrs. Payne "Whitneys Greentree Stable has finally been completed, according to an announcement today by trainer Ed Haughton, and the stable comprises twenty-four horses, including thirteen two-year-olds, ten three-year-olds and one four-year-old. Mr. Haughton recently received eight horses from head trainer T. W. Murphy at Macon, Ga., this shipment completing the string for western racing in 1930. The majority of the two-year-olds are training well, and, all in all, look exceptional well. They are well bred, being by such sires as St. Germans, Pennant, Peter Pan, John P. The famous mare Prudery, dam of the stake winners "Whiskery and Victorian, continues dangerously ill at the Whitney farm here, and doctors hold little hope for her recovery. The mare foaled a filly by St. Germans Thursday night, although the youngster was not supposed to arrive until six weeks hence.
