LEADING AMERICAN JOCKEYS The close of winter racing found J. Redding well entrenched in the lead of American jockeys by a margin of twelve winners over K. Russell. Redding, Avho rode at Agua Caliente, finished out the meeting with seventy-three winning mounts and Russell, who was engaged at New Orleans, finished with sixty-one. G. Riley and E. Goodrich were tied for third place with forty-eight each, but they were closely pressed by J. Passero, who rode five winners last week. F. Dainty, who rode in Florida, finished the winter season with a finer flourish than any other, riding eight winners during the week. Russell and Goodrich hold the highest averages among the five leaders. Russell rode for a-winning average of 22 per cent.
