FAIRMOUNT IN READINESS 1 General Manager Eddy Finds Everything in Good Condition. Applications of Tilnctj-Six Owners Approved No Scarcity of Itacing Material Quite a Number on Hand. COLLINS VILLE, 111., April 16. Genera manager Robert S. Eddy arrived here Sunday and after a general inspection of the Fair- mount Jockey Club plant announced that he was well pleased with the condition of the property after the severe winter and was generally optimistic over the coming season, which opens on May 10. "I find the work so well advanced," he said, "that we could open the track tomorrow if it were necessary." Ninety-six stables have been approved for racing at Fairmount. Fifty-eight of these are already on the grounds. Fifty-four raced here last- year and of the lot nineteen are St. Louis owners. Secretary Reeder announced the following stables approved for the coming Fairmount meeting: Audley Farm, C. R. Anderson, G. W. Atkinson, C. Bartsch, Blue Star Stable, C. Bunte, N. W. Louie Morris will accompany the shipment. Stables of Dr. L. M. Holmes, Vic Gallo and Al Luzader were due in from New Orleans this week. My Dandy, crack racer of the Reichert Brothers, suffered an eye injury in a race in California this year and, although thoroughly healed, the vision has been impaired. Horses which raced in prominent stakes during the winter and which will race here this season, according to secretary Reeder, are Alexander Pantages, Brown Wisdom, Longus, My Dandy, Bad News Bob, Brother Rank, By Product, Judge Dixon, Playfellows Dream, Sand Fiddler and Inception.
