LITTLE AMERICA began swiftly, assumed a long lead when leaving the back stretch and, saving a lot of ground, had to be urged hard in the final sixteenth to withstand OVER SHADY. The latter, going, prominently, finished in determined fashion. HIEAWAY", outpaced for the first three-eighths, finished resolutely on the outside of the leaders. BRIGHT COMET raced forwardly, but was held safe. SNOAV WHITE lacked early foot, but was gaining slowly at the end. BETA BIT was outrun. K LOVEY GIRL could uot trouble the leaders. Won easily; second and third the same. 1 MUD, reserved for the first three-eighths, went to GENUINE without effort approaching the stretch turn, opened up a lead at will and won. handily. GENUINE had fine speed for half a mile and tired fast when put to a drive. SHIPMASTER, hard hustled all the way, was unable to reach the first two. MACIL lacked speed and was never a factor. AREGAL, under reserve for the first three-quarters, went to the outside when making his effort and, coming with a belated rush on the outside of the leaders, finished gamely and got up to win right at the end. PRICKLY HEAT, taken under restraint for five-eighths, made a determined effort when leaving the back stretch, gained a brief lead inside the final sixtenth, but was outlasted. VOYAGE, hustled right along throughout, tired when challenged. FAIR ARGUMENT was made entirely too much use of following the start and tired from his efforts. HER GRACE, displaying good speed, took command soon after the start, withstood a bold challenge from LOST AGNES on the turn and, saving ground, held MURKY CLOUD safe when forced to hard pressure. MURKY CLOUD, allowed to settle into her stride, went to the outside when making her challenge, but lost ground in making the stretch turn and appeared to tire in the final eighth. LOST AGNES, under light urging from the start, was sent up on the inside on the stretch turn, overtook HElt GRACE, but tired in the final drive. The latter inoved up boldly at the turn out of the back stretch and finished with good courage. REFORM worked his way up on the outside, finished gamely but could not threaten the first two. JANE RINEHART, racing in improved form, weakened in the final quarter mile. LENA M. quit when called on. ASTER was used up early. GRAB BAG quit.
