TANNERY READY TO START Will Have One or More Races at Lexington Preparatory to His Derby Effort. LEXINGTON, Ky., April 19. AVhile Burton and AVards Dedicate was the first of the outstanding western-owned candidates for the coining Kentucky Derby to make his debut as a three-year-old, when he won Fridays feature, Edward F. Prichards Tannery, another of the ranking hopefuls for the Derby, is scheduled to make his bow within a few days. Under present plans of A. .T. Baker, who is training Tannery, the colt will participate in at least one or two races here. He came out of his three-quarters trial AVednesday in excellent fashion, and trainer Baker has decided that ho is ready for competition. Both Dedicate and Tannery were prepared for their 1930 campaigns over the local track, and each has a big following for the Derby. AVhile Dunice Dubois rode Dedicate in his race Friday, no definite arrangement for his Derby rider has been made. AVillie Garner is to pilot Tannery.
