CANADIAN BUYS MARE ATOI NEW YORK, N. Y., April 19. C. J. Fitzgerald today sold the eight-year-old Irish-bred mare Atoi, by Ashtoi, from a mare by Melager, a son of the great horse Eager, to R. J. McLaughlin, the Canadian oarsman, who maintains a small but select stud at Ossawo, Ont. The Rump, a son of Sunstar, is at the head of the McLaughlin Stud and his union with the mare, which was winner of seventeen races in this country and Ireland, should produce winners of many races for Cana-dian-breds.
