PLENTY RACING MATERIAL ♦ Nearly 2,000 Horses to Be Available for Washington Park Meeting. • Ovrrflow to Be Stabled at Lincoln Fields — List of Owners and Number of Racers — Making Reservation. 9 Judge C. W. Hay, general manager of Washington Park, announces there will be available for the thirty-day meeting, be-ginning next Monday, nearly 2,000 thoroughbreds. ] This number taxes Washington Park to -j the overflow point, rendering it necessary to use 743 stalls at Lincoln Fields. It may be necessary to utilize stables in proximity to Washington Park. When judge Hay checked nominations in the seven stake features at the approaching j meeting he found another record had been j established. The Thomas Curran Memorial, j having an added value of ,000, to be run ■ June 13, attracted the top number of eligi- j bles— 160. Next is the American Derby, 0,- j 000 added, to be decided Saturday, June 20, with 148 eligibles. The Debutante Stakes, May 30, ,000 added, for two-year-old fillies, j has 122 eligibles. The Washington Park j Handicap, inaugural attraction. ,000 added, ] for three-year-olds and upward, closed with ninety-four eligibles. The Francis S. Pea-body Memorial, June 27, 0,000 added, for ] three-year-olds and upward, drew eighty-three. The Robert M. Sweitzer Handicap, ,000 added, May 30, for three-year-olds and upward, attracted seventy-eight, 741 in all.
