The latter worked her way up and challenged gamely, then tired. SUN TWEED finished fast on the outside and was going fastest of all. VAGARIES dropped back at the start and moved up with a rush. MEA showed an even performance. POLYCRON raced green. LA COMPERE showed a flash of early speed. BOOCAP raced evenly. ST. MICA swerved and quit under pressure. FLAMING MAMIE raced evenly throughout. NAT CLYMAN jumped well and. under restraint on the first turn of the field, forced his way through on the inside while racing to the sixth fence and, drawing away into the lead, had speed to spare. THE ACE II. was bothered when the winner came through on the inside, recovered and moved up again, but tired at the end. GIGOLO, outrun earlv, made up ground slowly.
