Ohio, May 20.— Ohio Statf Derby arrivals this morning at Bainbridgfi Park were H. C. Hatchs Boys Howdy. Mr$. John Hay Whitneys Lightning Bolt, Griffin Watkins Insco, J. Fred Adams Hold Hard. Knebelkamp and Morris Spanish Play an J Hamburg Places Conscience and Thi Mongol. Lightning Bolt was slated to take a light workout following the first race at Bain* bridge today, and it was probable that all the Derby candidates would go through 4 workout over the Bainbridge course Thursday morning. Racing secretary Reeder said that he had word from Louisville that Mrs. J. Crofton8 Up, winner of the Agua Caliente Derby would be shipped here Thursday. It was also anticipated that Pittsburgher would come in the same car. Garlic, Mrs. Olive Curtis eastern campaigner, was a probable starter, according to word from the East. Another expected arrival from New York is A La Carte, the Alton Stables Derby nominee. Frank Cat" rone will ride the horse in the local race. Charlie Kurtsinger, who rode Twenty Grand in the Kentucky Derby last Saturday, probably will have the mount on Lightning Bolt in the race here Saturday, according to Edward Haughton. Steve ODonnell will ride Insco and C. E. Allen will ride Spanish Play. The probable list of start* ers, as indicated Wednesday, were: A L4 Carte, Ken Kling, Garlic, Up, Boys Howdy% m Conscience, The Mongol, Batty, Spanish Play, Peach Basket, Battle Sweep, Morpheus, Pittsburgher, Lightning Bolt, Green* wald, Insco and Hold Hard.
