The latter moved up on the outside on the far turn, raced on the out;ide in the la~t quarter, but held on gamely. JEANNE SEREMBA began slowly, improved her position and finished strongh on the outside in the stretch. BOB WEIDEL began well, but was outrun early and, lacing in close quarters next to the rail, finished resohitelv. PRINCESS BLACK raced well until midway of the stietch. then tired. CLEORA showed good speed until midway of the stretch, then tired and bore out in the last eighth. VIOLA STINSON and CAPTAINS DAUGHTER showed early speed, but tired, as did FINGER TIPS.
