SWEEP ALL WORKS IN MUD HOMEWOOD, 111., June 1.— Although muddy going, fog and rain made for very unfavorable training conditions at Washington Park Saturday morning, trainer Clyde Van Dusen did not permit the disagreeable elements to interrupt the preparation of Charles T. Fishers Sweep All, outstanding western candidate for the American Derby, and breezed the son of Sweep a mile in 1:57. Like all horses trained over the Home-wood track during the wet, cold morning, he worked around the "dogs." Pittsburgher, T. E. Muellers American Derby hopeful, breezed three-quarters in 1:23. while the Le Bus Brothers Major Lan-phier traversed a like distance in 1:20% breezing, and Cousin Jo, C. H. Nuckols winner of the Kentucky Oaks and favorite for the Illinois Oaks, was breezed the same route in 1:21.
