GALLANT KNIGHT AT BELMONT NEW YORK, N. Y.. June 1.— The hope of the West, the Audley Farms Gallant Knight, holder of the worlds record for six and a half furlongs, which he oet in winning the Brown Handicap on Derby Day at Churchill Downs when he raced the distance in the remarkable time of l:16J,s, arrived shortly after noon today to fill his engagement in the Suburban Handicap, mile and a quarter stake worth 7,000, which will be decided on Saturday. Accompanying Gallant Knight on the trip from Washington Park, Chicago, were three Audley Farm racers and a stable pony. They have been installed in the John Hertz stable here where accommodations awaited their arrival. Gallant Knight stood the trip well, and is scheduled to start light training for his Suburban engagement Tuesday morning.
