ANNY J., never far back and lucky to save much ground, responded strongly after reaching the final quarter and, working her way through on the inside, drew out rapidly in the final sixteenth. FLAG CATCHER lost much ground, worked her way up on the extreme outside in the stretch and tired in the final stages, but outstayed ZINA. The latter improved her position gradually after going threo eighths and finished in ery close quarters. STELLA F. began fast, showed the most speed under vigorous urging and Swerved when weakening in the final drive. PRINCESS NANCY began well and dropped back entering the stretch, but closed gamely while in close quarters. SALLY IRENE was closing gamely when blocked in the final sixteenth. CHAFF, hustled into the lead, raced wide while showing the most speed and, holding on fairly well, outstayed the others. QUIVER dropped far out of it and closed with a rush on the inside. PEGGY J., close up under energetic riding, tired in the final eighth. BROOM-SHOT had no mishaps. CLARABEL A. stumbled in the stretch. REVERBERATE, fractious at the post, Was unable to gain a contending position. FAIR MISSIE showed earlv speed. INDIAN RUNNER, fractious at the post, but away well, kept close up with a big loss of ground in the first quarter and. drawing clear at the far turn, easily withstood the challenge ot SUNS SON and drew away and won eased up. FLYING began fast, but was crowded back and closed with a rush on the inside. MENDELL showed speed, raced wide and, holding on well, just tailed to outstay FLYING. ALLENFERN raced close up from the start and had no mishaps. SUNS SON began rapidly, offered a mild bid on the stretch turn and tired badly after half a mile. DOCTOR HAPPY met early interference. BAGGAGE MAID, a factor from the start and restrained while making the turn, closed with fine courage to win over ADA EPINARD in the final strides. ADA EPINARD, probably best, lost considerable ground in the first quarter and, drawing clear on the turn, held on stubbornly, only to give way right at the end. ALL GIRLS raced forwardly and tired, but was best of the others. BLACK IVORY showed speed and tired badly. BELL OF BOURBON was under hard urging throughout. REGAL LADY quit. CHERRY MAY was outrun. JOAN K. dropped back near the turn and was never formidable thereafter. NANCY SETH beean slowlv, saved ground and outstayed the others. MISS MARYLAND had no mishaps. WINNIE JO tired. SCARLET BRIGADE began sluggishlv. COGWHEEL quit. MOTHERS CHOICE was done after half a mile, showing a dull performance. EMULATOR showed early speed.
