t WASHINGTON PARK NOTES 8 f HOMEWOOD, 111., June 1. Queens Pal, a likely steeplechase prospect, is to be turned over to Louie Tauber for racing at Arlington Park. J. W. "Bud" May unloaded four horses at Lincoln Fields Sunday, and the H. T, Archibald Stable of about twenty is to reach the Crete track this evening. A meeting of the license committee of the Illinois Turf Association has been called for next Monday at noon and will be held in the stewards offices at Washington Park. A number of applications for licenses will be up for consideration. Arthur B. Hancock, among the foremost of American breeders and owner of the Claiborne and Ellerslie Studs, was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. John Hertz at their Leona Farm Sunday. Mr. Hancock left for Kentucky Sunday night. The apprenticeship of A. Richard will terminate with the filling of his engagements on June 4. Jockey F. Halbert has entered the employ of the J. J. Coughlin Stable. J. W. Murphy, well known trainer, was an arrival and will remain indefinitely. William Irvine, with S. W. Labrots Holly Beach Stable of fifteen, and three the property of J. W. Y. Martin, arrived at Lincoln, Fields Sunday evening. The Labrot Stable includes Rocket Glare, Porphyry, Tuckahoej Fred Avon, Annapolitan, Salisbury. Camp Parole. Anne Arundel and seven two-year-olds, while the four-year-old Con Amore and two-year-olds Worthington and Crazy Rhythm made up the Martin trio. Some additions to the Labrot Stable will be made within a few weeks. The Cary T. Grayson Stable, to be raced at the Chicago meetings under the supervision of John Lowe, is scheduled to leave the Benning track near Washington for Homewood on Wednesday morning. It will embrace twelve head. J. Ketry. an apprentice, having left the employ of C. N. Freeman without the latters consent, the stewards issued an order that horsemen should not employ or harbor him under penalty of the rules. «
